Silver Sounds Entertainment

Stephen Viel has been entertaining audiences as far back as  the mid 70’s and was a backup singer in Nashville TN for a well known southern pianist and recording artist Mack Davis.

Stephen founded Silver Sounds Entertainment in 1994 as a DJ, MC and Vocalist and has performed at hundreds of wedding and parties as "Your Party DJ's". His daughter Melissa also became a DJ/Vocalist and worked with Stephen for over 15 years.

On many occasions Steve joined his well known father-in-law Dick Lessard and Michael Grady as the "Suncoasters" performing up and down the Suncoast of Florida. Following Dick's passing, Steve & His wife Kathy moved back to Florida permanently from New Hampshire and contacted Michael again to form Silver Sounds.

Maryann Regal was the lead singer of the Goodies girl group which recorded on the Red Bird/Blue Cat label, produced by Lieber & Stoller and Shadow Morton.  They performed extensively with other Top 40 artists of the era and their first recording, “Dum Dum Ditty,” made the Billboard Top 40. The Goodies’ weekends were a whirlwind of appearances with performers such as Bobby Rydell, Ruby & The Romantics, The Crystals, Ben E. King, and other top acts of the day.

Joining the roster with such groups as The Dixie Cups, The Shangri-Las, The Jelly Beans, The Trade Winds & Ellie Greenwich, The Goodies were poised for success. After tossing around a few tunes and trying to find just the right one, the powers that be at Red Bird chose “Leader of the Pack” and “Give Him a Great Big Kiss” for The Goodies’ first two demo recordings, both of which were ultimately released by The Shangri-Las.

The Goodies reunited in 2005 with 3 of the original 4 members as a result of their recording, Sophisticated Boom Boom, being included on Warner Bros’ compilation “Girls Groups Lost and Found: One Kiss Leads to Another”. They performed together for several years. After the group disbanded, Maryann moved to Florida and after settling in, decided to pursue singing and now is a member of Silver Sounds.

Michael Grady is a born “crooner” who has been singing since he was a teenager. His first experience as a professional was when he started singing in a group with two other singers  in Boston, Ma singing in clubs and private parties.  After relocating to Florida he began singing with his brother Joey and Dick Lessard as The GBOTS along the west coast of Florida from Tampa to Naples. Then in 2012 he, Dick & Stephen formed a new group called "The Suncoasters" and performed until Stephen had to leave to return to NH for family reasons. Finally, in 2017 he partnered again with Stephen of Silver Sounds and the rest is a magical journey.
